  • MAGIC KINGDOM especially for younger ones but many family attractions

  • DISNEYQUEST Interactive Indoor Theme Park on 5 floors in Downtown Disney

ANHEUSER-BUSCH / UNIVERSAL ATTRACTIONS

  • SEA WORLD - A MUST. Whales, Dolphins, Polar bears, Penguins, Manatees, Rays, rides etc.

  • DISCOVERY COVE - if you can get in! PRE-BOOK WELL IN ADVANCE. BEWARE of age limits - they will not allow a Dolphin encounter below 6 yrs old, which we think is the same for the other Dolphin experience providers (Florida Keys etc.).

  • AQUATICA - Sea World's new amazing family water park

  • BUSCH GARDENS excellent mixture of safari, shows and major thrill rides - about an hours drive away in Tampa

  • UNIVERSAL ISLANDS OF ADVENTURE - lots of coasters and water rides, but also a whole area dedicated to young ones: SEUSS LANDING. New for 2010 will be the Wizarding World of Harry Potter - a huge new world added to IoA with themed / interactive environments and rides.

  • UNIVERSAL STUDIOS has a few areas for younger ones but is fast updating with several newer attractions and rides, including The Simpsons Ride and Spring 09: Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit

Change of clothes / towels is a must for some of the parks (use the lockers) where you might expect a wet experience (including the Shamu show). Buggies are available to hire at all parks - these are robust and good value for long days - ours still used them even when 12!!!

WATER PARKS

Personal choice. Our kids love them and although sometimes over-crowded, they certainly provide a lot of watery fun.

Disney’s Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon included on the  "Extra" or Premium / Ultimate tickets.

Wet N Wild, off International Drive near Sea World and Universal.

Discovery Cove – Enjoy either with or without a Dolphin experience / swim. Exclusive, fairly expensive, but in our opinion (3 visits), very worthwhile.

Aquatica - completing the trio of Sea World parks in Orlando - amazing family fun!

SHOWS

Catch all you can in Disney, Sea World, Universal, and . . . .

CIRQUE du SOLEIL (Downtown Disney) - absolutely great show for all ages! Must book in advance and if direct through Disney, ensuring the best seat choices.
